Thank you for visiting the homepage of our social welfare council. Our council is mediating and performing various welfare projects such as negotiation and mediation of social welfare facilities·organizations·groups within Seoul, training, investigative research, policy development, support of volunteer activity, computerization of welfare, food bank and food market, etc.

Especially, our council is connecting with social welfare functions related to aged people, handicapped, children and women to spread various social welfare projects for building social safety network as the social polarization has become deeper due to continued economic depression and family disorganization while the vulnerable classes neglected from society such as solitary senior citizens, handicapped with serious illnesses and child headed families have extended with the arrival of 21st century.

Since 2003, we have opened the Seoul food market which is a user centered low income food supporting cost free permanent market to extend it throughout the entire area of Seoul each year and developed this even further since 2006 to operate a visiting food market called 'Seoul mobile food market'.

Also, as the demand toward volunteer education has rapidly increased, we are operating 'volunteer cyber development school' where people can receive volunteer education online while contributing to an active social welfare volunteer through assignment of certification center as well as the training and management of certification agents by building the database system of social welfare volunteer activity.

Also, as the desire of supplementary education toward social welfare workers has increased and followed by legalization of supplementary education, we have opened 'Seoul social welfare training center to strengthen the specialty of social welfare site practical workers and managers as well as contributing to improving qualitative standard of social welfare project by performing professional social welfare training programs such as social welfare accounting education, basic and supplementary education of social welfare, professional social welfare education-program planning, practical computer work and proposal education, etc in the midst of popularity to provide realistic and required knowledge and information. We always appreciate your encouragement by watching us with much interest and devotion toward the role and function of our council. Our council which has been playing a leading and key role in the field of social welfare will make the best effort to play a leading part by becoming the motive power for implementing welfare society and the center of social welfare activity in which people can live happy lives through self realization and anyone can be guaranteed with human dignity along with welfare promotion movement of Seoul residents and furthermore, all people in this country while 10 million resident makes Seoul a happy city of welfare.
